Need help with Kob Budgeting? Email us and we'll get back to you within two business days.
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, and what happened. A screenshot helps.
Do I need an account?
No. Kob has no sign-up or password. Everything you enter is stored on your iPhone, and we never see it. See our privacy policy for details.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
On your old iPhone, open Kob, go to Settings, and tap "Back up to a file." Save the file to Files or AirDrop it to your new iPhone. Then install Kob on the new iPhone and tap "Restore a backup" on the welcome screen, or go to Settings and tap "Restore from a backup." Moving everything with your iPhone's own backup or Quick Start works too.
What happens if I delete the app?
Deleting Kob deletes your data with it, because it's stored only on your iPhone. Back up to a file first if you want to keep it.
Does Kob connect to my bank?
No. You add your own transactions, so Kob never needs your bank login or account numbers. Paychecks are added for you on payday, and you can have Apple Pay purchases logged automatically.
How do I log Apple Pay purchases automatically?
Open Kob, go to Settings, and tap "Log Apple Pay purchases." The guide walks you through a one-time Shortcuts automation. It works for tap-to-pay purchases in stores. Apple Pay in apps and on websites doesn't start the automation, so log those with the + button.
I'm not getting bill reminders
In Kob, go to Settings and check that Bill reminders is on. Then open your iPhone's Settings, tap Notifications, then Kob Budgeting, and make sure notifications are allowed. Reminders aren't sent for bills already marked paid.
How does the free trial work?
Both plans start with a 2-week free trial. If you cancel before it ends, you won't be charged. Without a subscription, Kob becomes read-only: you can still see and back up everything you've entered, but you can't add or change anything.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. In Kob, go to Settings and tap "Manage subscription," or on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
I subscribed, but Kob still says it's read-only
Open Kob, go to Settings, and tap "Restore purchases." Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.
How do I use a code?
Open Kob, go to Settings, and tap "Redeem code," or tap "Redeem code" on the subscription screen.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is Kob financial advice?
No. Kob is a budgeting tool. Its figures are estimates based on what you enter and aren't financial, tax or legal advice. For advice about your situation, talk to a qualified professional.
I found a bug or have an idea
